This October has been unusually cold & rainy so far, but it couldn’t prevent me from a weekend in the mountains :) The plan was actually to take part in the Ride the Alps event. Unfortunately, it got cancelled last minute, therefore I couldn’t do anything with my booking in the hotel and decided to go anyway. Instead of the bike, I took the hiking sticks however.
I dreamed of such trip for the whole summer. It wasn’t easy to organize however – unpredictable weather (even in August!), coronavirus uncertainty in June, trying to arrange some outings with other people (and dealing with the last minute cancellations) and so on. The more it got postponed, the more I felt like I am depleted of energy and need some time on my own. “WTF, the summer is over, I have to act now”, I thought 2 weeks ago and booked a place on a night hike, organized by canton Graubünden (there are hikes every day until 30th September – book yours and have an unforgettable experience).
I hear this question every now and then: “How do you find all those nice routes to avoid major roads?” Quite often people add that they would cycle more, if they would know how to find better ways around. That’s a good incentive to summarize my knowledge in a blog post :)
Winter is almost over… So it’s a good time to rush up a bit to get rid of my “blog debt” for the last year :) Meet the majestic Central Switzerland in all its summer glory!
Winter is already here! After a wonderful day spent in snowy landscapes I really want to share my passion for fatbiking with you, dear readers :)
