“Under grey skies” (Easter bicycle trip from Turku to Pori, part 1)

This year’s Easter occurred in the early April. Not a perfect weather yet for a bicycle trip in Finland, but it was painful to think that otherwise 4 consecutive days off will be lost. I bought train tickets and looked every day at the weather forecast. There was snowfall only 4 days before my trip, but the snow melted soon and I went on summer tyres.

An autumn trip to Aulanko

This year the autumn depression hit me much harder than usual (most of the recent years I didn’t have any depression at all). I spent a couple of weekends doing nothing (which means for me installing a new fork to the bicycle, small MTB rides around home, housekeeping, cooking, reading, talking and so on). Well, I spent a couple of really counter-productive nights as well, playing Cities in Motion 2.

After all this misery I said “enough!”, woke up at 7:30, woke Elena and we ran for the train. It was beginning of a very nice Sunday.

Beautiful (and cold) Finnish autumn

For the obvious reason, this year I didn’t discover much new places in Finland. There is one exception hovewer – Liesjärvi National Park and Forssa region in general.

Beautiful Finnish autumn
